Support Anthony's Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

Just days before the anniversary of his mother's passing from small cell lung cancer, our dear friend Anthony received devastating news—he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, which has unfortunately spread to his liver. The diagnosis has taken an emotional and financial toll on him and those closest to him, and while we've managed to stay afloat and in good spirits these last few months, the mounting medical bills and reduced income from disability leave have created an overwhelming financial strain. Disability pay only covers about half of his regular income, and the cost of treatments, surgeries, and daily living expenses is quickly piling up.

It must be said that Anthony is not only a beloved member of our local and online music communities, but also an avid music lover and vinyl collector. Though it has become common for him to miss shows due to symptoms from chemo, we're still keeping the music alive by fueling his love for quality bands, making playlists, and trying to get him to as many shows as possible—making the most of the time we have together while we still can.

Anthony has always been fiercely independent and self-sufficient. Just recently, he celebrated 27 years working at Target by getting his chemo pump removed—what a way to mark the milestone! He's also been the person that myself and others can turn to for support, so I know it’s incredibly difficult for him to admit that now, he’s the one who needs help. But this is where we, as his community, can come together.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial burdens that cancer has placed on him. Our goal is to raise 20,000 for his medical bills, lost income, and everyday expenses, so that he can focus on his health and healing without the additional stress of financial worries.
