Help My Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

In January 2025, my family’s life changed forever when our home was destroyed in a massive electrical fire, further affected by delays due to frozen fire hydrants. Thankfully, my family was able to escape unharmed, but the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming for us.

Since the fire, my family has been staying in temporary housing, but were recently notified that their stay will no longer be covered. With just days to find a new place to live, my parents have been scrambling to secure housing while also dealing with the aftermath of the fire. Shortly after, my parents were involved in a car accident while commuting from the hotel and had to pay out of pocket for the damage done to our car.

We are kindly asking for any financial support during this devastating time to help my family find housing and repair our family car so my parents can continue to work. My parents are not accustomed to asking for help because they never want to inconvenience others. As their eldest daughter and sister, I am doing everything I can to help from across the country, but the countless challenges this past month alone have been too much for me and my family to handle. Our whole family has been working tirelessly to recover and afford the cost of the aftermath of both the fire and the car accident. My younger brother, still in high school, is working after school to contribute, and it breaks my heart to see him carrying this burden at such a young age.
