My name is Christine, and I live in San Francisco. The purpose of this campaign is to help one family in Gaza struggling to survive. If you want to make a direct impact and do something real, please donate to help my friend Asmaa Hassanat , and her family.
Asmaa has come to mean a lot to me. We chat every day, usually after she has gotten her hungry, war-stressed to finally fall asleep. They live in a tent in Mawasi Khan Younis and are very cold at night. Winter brings heavy rains and their drafty shelter gets soaked, leaving them shivering inside.
Asmaa and her family they were evicted from their home, which was then demolished.
The family fled to live in a refugee tent camp in Mawasi Khan Younis, Gaza.
Asmaa has bravely shown her strength in so many ways, even completing her bachelor’s degree online with only her mobile phone during this last year of war.
But once in the refugee tent camp, there was no way to earn any money to live.
The revered big brother left behind his sister and the rest of the family, including his infant son Hassoun. After he was martyred ,he was the family protector and his death left them without anyone to go out and look for survival every day. . Ahmed son, Hassoun, is now one year old and urgently needs winter clothes, diapers and milk. Recently, Asmaa's mother Nevin became so weak due to the grief of her son’s death and the extremely difficult life in the tent camp, that she had to be hospitalized.
Humanitarian aid has just been cut off from the world outside Gaza, and the only way they can now get anything is to walk to neighboring towns where shopkeepers charge them insanely inflated prices for what little they can buy. However, this is the only way available to them to purchase any of their most desperate needs.
This is your personal opportunity to impact the history of this family I love.
I want them to survive this war! Please show your love and compassion during our darkest times. You actually can make a difference as an individual, donating to individuals directly, when big nations and humanitarian organizations can’t even do so right now, as aid is severely restricted!
These funds ensure the family is able to buy essential day-to-day necessities on an ongoing basis, as there is no way for them to earn income, international aid is simply not reaching them, and prices for food and other goods are exponentially inflated.
100% of donated funds will be given directly to the family. The funds are transferred to me, and I then send the funds to Asmaa's sister, who transfers directly to the family. Thank you for your generosity.
