Hospital Bills

On January 23rd, 8 days before my ACA health insurance policy went into effect, I awoke to my room literally spinning around me. I immediately felt like I was going to throw up and tried to get out of bed to the bathroom but could not walk. I slithered to the floor where I sat for 30 mins trying my best to make it stop but it didn’t. I finally called my daughter into my room and we quickly decided on calling an ambulance. I was taken to the hospital where after several tests it was decided to be a somewhat rare type of vertigo. I ended up staying overnight so they could monitor me and get the symptoms to subside with medication. I have been home for a little over a week and still have some episodes but everything is much better. I have to go through physical therapy to help with the after effects and continue with medication. But I’m on the mend. I am lucky. I have an amazing support system of family, friends and community. I am setting up this GoFundMe to really see if there’s someone or a lot of someone’s out there with the means to help with the hospital bills. As it currently sits, the bill is just under $16,000. I am not asking people for their only $5. I’m asking those people who have the means to help, if they can help.
