Welcome to our CaringBridge site for David J. Kirkham. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. By now most of you have heard about what happened to David while camping with family in the mountains of California. Friday April 3rd 2015 David set out for his morning run. He was 4 miles in when he suffered a stroke. He was then airlifted to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. He has his family with him and his team is working on a plan for what the next move will be. Obviously that would include getting him home to Kent, WA. In the 4 days since David arrived at Stanford he has made many positive steps towards the road to recovery. I'm sure that David would love to read all your messages, so let's start sending them his way.
