wheels for ellery

hello everyone,
im trying to raise money to provide ellery with a car.

my friend ellery has been living with severe medical depression for almost six years now, and we have tried everything from hundreds of pills, to electro shock therapy. to give you a rough idea of her life was like:you can read more about her depression here: http://iamboey.com/8452

a car would mean so much to her. she doesnt think she needs it, but when i flipped my car in portland last year, which was our own ride, i havent seen her go out as much. she used to occassionally take the dog out to a park, or visit a friend in a different  county, or her folks in santa barbara, but now she just stays home for weeks at a time. anyone with depression knows that when you stay home for long periods, you just keep spiraling down, which is what i noticed when i saw her again after a few months. her place was a mess, and she had a mice infestation. 
i am hoping that a car would give her the ability to move around freely again, buy groceries, and take care of herself when i am not around to help her.

in a few days too, i will be celebrating my 37th birthday, and i want to drive across america again, like i did 3 years ago, maybe this time with ellery. shes always wanted to see the country, maybe this is the time to do so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWjAd1so2GA
