Story

In May 2015, I went to the doctor for a physical and to have a PSA test done.  With my family history of prostate cancer, I figured I would have to deal with it much later in life.  But, in June 2015, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer.  It was quite a shock to my family and I.  Since, my diagnosis, I have had a bone scan, head x-rays, CT scan, and a MRI trying to determine the severity of an area on my skull.  Luckily, the results have not indicated any further spread of my cancer.  On Oct 6 2015, I will be having a robotic prostatectomy to remove my prostate.  Please keep my family and me in your thoughts and prayers, especially my two daughters; Jayne (6) and Jemma (3) who are too young to understand the situation.Thanks to all the people who have sent me well wishes.  It is great to hear from each of you.  The support has been unbelievable.You can contact me at [email redacted] or on twitter @jphoover1#IWillBeatThisCrap
