Aspen's Medical Fund

Greetings to all. My name is Randall Rossman and this Gofundme is for my dog Aspen. After serving four years in the Army and one-year deployment to Afghanistan, I decided that I wanted to leave the Army and go to school. Suffering from numerous things but mostly severe depression, I found that going to the local animal shelter helped me cope with the depression. That’s when I came across a dog that I fell in love with and had to rescue, not knowing that ultimately she would end up rescuing me. I have had an amazing three years with her full of adventures. She is the light and joy of my life. But unfortunately, she is very sick. The vet and I started noticing something was wrong when she was losing weight very rapidly. Aspen went from 80 pounds to 48 pounds in just a few months. Clearly something was wrong. After running multiple blood test, physical examinations, an ultra sound, and X-rays, the doctor has found that Aspen’s body is not breaking down the fats and proteins from her food and is stripping her of the nutrition. I have done everything in my power to take care of her so far. Unfortunately, finding this out meant spending money that I do not have even though I work part-time, and there are still more tests the vet would like to do to identify the real cause of the problem. Many of you who know me know that I am not the type of person who likes asking for help, but this time, Aspen and I are really in need of assistance.
