In 2007 at the age of 21 Ryan was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He was immediately thrown into the world of western cancer treatment, surgery, and 6 months of radiation and chemotherapy treatments. The cancer went away but the effects of the treatments and situation didn't. He was faced with a $40,000 debt he couldn't pay, went bankrupt over it, his energy was sapped, digestion severely compromised, lungs scarred, nerves damaged, bones weakened, liver and kidneys toxified and his strength lost. We have watched him try so hard over and over again since but not been able to regain and maintain a normal life. We have also watched as his optimistic and bright attitude has gradually faded into severe depression and chronic anxiety over not finding some resolution to this unfortunate event in his young life. He has tried since that time almost everything under the sun to regain and rebuild his health and life but continues to struggle with these problems everyday. We care about him and love him dearly and know he has so many talents, gifts, ideas and a big heart that he wants to share with the world and help others but these residual problems make everything, everyday exceedingly difficult for him to make that a sustained reality. What has helped him the most is ayurvedic medicine and yoga therapies, we've seen and helped him work with over a dozen ayurvedic doctors and all of them have strongly recommended that he goes through a lengthy 3 month pancakarma or detoxification and rejuvination program in India. "Panchakarma is the ultimate mind-body healing experience for detoxifying the body, strengthening the immune system, and restoring balance and well-being. It is one the most effective healing modalities in Ayurvedic Medicine. It promotes Detoxification and Rejuvenation. It is recommended on a seasonal basis, as well as when an individual feels out of balance or is experiencing illness." He has studied ayurveda and natural health extensively on his own since getting cancer in an effort to understand and recover his health, energy, strength and life... as his mother and father we can and have agreed to help him get to Arogyaniketana Ayurveda Ashrama in Karnataka, India by may 30th, 2016 but he still needs at least another $3500 to really, fully and completely undergo these treatments at the Ayurveda Ashram, one of the most authentic clinics in India today.
