Support Men’s Mental Health
Hi, my name is Olly and I along with others am going to be running 16 miles on Sunday May 25th (afternoon) to raise money and awareness about men’s mental health.
Why am I doing this?
Recently one of my old school mates took his own life it was a shock to everyone. It made me realise how important it is for people to speak up about their thoughts, feelings and emotions, in particular men (due to the stigma attached to opening up).
If anyone could spare a donation towards this cause (no matter how small) then it would be greatly appreciated and hopefully we can help those who are struggling to speak up and get the support they need.
If anyone wants to come along and join in for the full 16 miles or a small part of the run feel free to do so - we would love to see as many of you as possible showing your support.
Why have I chosen Andy’s Man Club?
Earlier this football season we were visited by ANDYSMANCLUB who are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. They are working to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK
This is in memory of my good friend Luca.
Details for the run will be found on my story.
