Meet Clementine. She is a 1.5-year-old Siberian Husky, German Shephard mix, that my brother adopted from Texas Husky Rescue about a year ago.
My brother, Alex, is a 24 yo, who just graduated college, and is working his first-ever full-time job. He has two Siberian Huskies, who he loves immensely.
On Friday night, Feb. 25th, Alex noticed that Clementine was having trouble breathing. He rushed her to the Emergency Vet, where she was diagnosed with Spontaneous Pneumothorax, caused by bullae or bleb formations on her lungs. Spontaneous Pneumothorax occurs when air enters the chest cavity, putting pressure on the lungs, and subsequently causes a collapse of the lungs.
Clementine has been at the vet since Friday night, and she will need a CT scan on Monday, and surgery on either Tuesday or Wednesday of this next week.
The surgery is vital to her survival, and the outcome of the rest of her life. All in, the cost of medical bills for poor Clementine, total upwards of $15,000. Since Alex just started working his first full-time job, he needs a bit of additional help with covering the medical costs for Clem.
If you are willing or able, please consider donating to help my brother save his baby!
