Our father, Steven Todd Opritza, tragically and unexpectedly passed away this past Sunday during a boating accident at Indian Lake, OH. An avid fisherman and boater who spent much of his life on the water, this unexpected loss of life in such a way has come as an enormous shock to our family. 

Through his soft-spoken stoicism and warmth, he taught our family many important lessons in life: treat others how you wish to be treated, work ethic and perseverance, to love music and the arts, and not least of all an appreciation for nature and the beauty of the water. Our family is a nautical family that grew up on the lakes in Ohio so words cannot express how devastated we all are at the passing of my Dad in such a way.


My father managed all of the finances for the household so I have created this page to help offset immediate costs for my mother as we transition to this new way of living. 

In lieu of flowers, we welcome any donations to the family to help offset the costs of memorial services and other expenses.  We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support during this difficult time.
