My sweet daughter, Ashlee, has had problems with her jaw since she was little. She is 20 years old, living and supporting herself by working as many hours as she can. She is enrolling back in college and has no insurance. The surgery she needs is not covered by most insurances. We were informed that if she does not get the survey to completely reconstruct her jaw and mouth that she will need a full jaw replacement in a few years. The surgeon is willing to give us 50% off because she is uninsured but it is still $25,000 to get started. I am not one to ask for help from family, friends or strangers financially. But I am at a loss as to how to help my daughter. They said it is like rheumatoid arthritis but in her jaw. She has had to deal with pain for years and it will only get worse. I hope that if anyone is in any position to help at all that you all know that we are so very grateful.
