For those of you who don't know, my brother's apartment in Hoboken went up in flames this weekend and he lost everything. Luckily, he was in D.C. for the weekend visiting my uncle, so he is okay. His possessions now consist of a backpack, a few shirts, two pairs of socks, a few pairs of boxers, and (thank god) a stick of deodorant.
Aaron moved to New Jersey less than a month ago to start a new job. He has no family in the New York area and knows very few people. Thankfully, his company, Jet.com, has found him a place to stay for the next two weeks as he looks for a new apartment. While this is a huge help, Aaron still needs to repurchase everything he lost (including winter appropriate clothes that he just purchased when he moved to the East Coast).
Aaron and our family would be extremely grateful for any help that you can give. We estimate that he lost around $7,000 worth in the fire, and I hope to raise $3,000 to get him back on his feet.
