Hardworking and Unemployed — Trying to Save My Home
Goal: $6,000
Hello, and thank you for reading.
I never thought I’d be in this position, and it’s taken a lot for me to share this. For privacy reasons, I’d like to remain anonymous, but I’m a hardworking person in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who’s been unemployed for the past 6 months. I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs, taken on side gigs when I can, and cut every non-essential expense.
Despite all this, I’m now facing the possibility of falling behind on my mortgage for the first time ever. I’ve never missed a payment in my life. But after exhausting my savings and getting no job offers, I’m running out of options.
I’ve worked in financial services for years and always believed in being prepared, but this stretch has been longer and more difficult than I imagined. With each passing week, it gets harder to stay hopeful. The fear of losing my home is very real.
If you’ve ever faced a tough season—or can imagine what that feels like—I’m asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward my mortgage and basic living expenses while I continue job searching full time.
I’m not giving up. But I need a hand to keep going.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for sharing if you’re able.
