My name is Joe Redford and I am raising money for my beloved dog Kaya.  She has torn her Anterior Cruciate Ligament, also known as her ACL.  She is in need of surgery to repair the ligament.  The surgery cost $2,750.  I am currently living in Mammoth Lakes, CA and working for the mountain in the kids ski school rental shop.  I am currently going to school working on obtaining my teaching credential.  Unfortuantely the mountain doesn't pay very well and a majority of my money go's towards paying for school.  Therefore, I am in need of assistance to help fund Kaya's surgery that will take place sometime between January 25th-January 31st.  Kaya is the love of my life.  She is 7 years old and I have raised her since she was 6 weeks old.  She puts a smile on my face every day.  I have owned dogs my whole life and Kaya is by far the most energetic dog I have ever known.  She will run, play, and swim until all energy is spent.  Kaya loves chasing the ball, fetching sticks, and swimming in the lake.  She go's all out, all the time, even with an injury.  I am not sure how she tore her ACL because she is such a tough little girl that she never showed signs of the injury when she is out playing.  I only noticed the injury because when she came home from playing, she would hobble around on 3 legs.  I can't bare to watch my girl limp anymore and therefore have decided to go forward with the surgery.  Any donations would be helpful.  Even $1 would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to hear Kaya's story.
