Dear Friends, Family, Brothers and Sisters,

Abby and I are excited to announce that together we will join a group of individuals from her home congregation, North Davis Church of Christ  , heading to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The trip is scheduled for February 13-18, 2020 and our goal is to spread the love and Word of God in a variety of ways, through the building of a home, providing food, visiting the needy and teaching the scriptures through VBS and worship.    

Below is a snapshot of our schedule: 
Friday – build a house/visit Bencoleth disabled children's home
Saturday – paint the house/VBS in the community
Sunday – Church at Breaking Chains Homeless Shelter 
Monday – provide food to "the Dump Ministry"/project at Mountaintop Ministries 
Tuesday – visit Mi Esperanza  Women's Ministry

It has been our desire to be a part of a mission trip together, and for too long, we have found too many reasons not to commit. I'm reminded how the prophet Isaiah responds to the Lord, when asked "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?", and he promptly responds "Here am I; send me".  (Isaiah 6:8 ).  

The total cost of the trip will be $2,700 for both of us.  This breaks down as $1,500 for me, traveling from North Carolina, and $1,200 for Abby, traveling from Texas. The organizers have kept the costs of the trip to a minimum, with funds covering travel, food, lodging and support services for various Honduran ministries.

We understand that not everyone is able to support us financially, but we hope that everyone will support us through thoughts, prayers and an interest in spreading the Word of God beyond our borders through service, love and care for those in greater need than ourselves.
