Hope for Kathy

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jamie. I am fundraising for my dear friend and Aunt Kathy to get medical treatment at "Hope 4 Cancer Treatment Center" in Tijuana, Mexico. Kathy was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in January 2020. This type of cancer affects six out of every one million people. The doctors found a tumor on her kidney after being hospitalized for having seizures. She was in renal failure. Due to infection many years ago after the birth of her son, she had to have a kidney removed. Knowing that she needed to have surgery on her remaining kidney was terrifying news. Once stabilized, Kathy underwent 25 radiation treatments. This was done prior to the removal of the tumor. In June 2020, the doctor decided to operate. The tumor had encased Kathy's uretera, psoas muscle and adrenal artery. Removing cancer meant that the doctor had to use her bladder to rebuild her uretera and then rebuild the psoas muscle and her adrenal artery. It was very invasive surgery. In December 2020, Kathy went in for her six-month follow-up; everything appeared to be doing well. She was hopeful, but in June 2021, the doctor found a spot on her lung when she returned for her subsequent follow-up. The doctor said they would not do anything at this time; they would keep an eye on it. When Kathy returned in August, the doctor discovered additional areas of concern. In January 2022, the doctor told Kathy that the cancer had metastasized and that he wanted to do a biopsy to confirm the type of cancer in the additional areas. The biopsy results confirmed that the Leiomyosarcoma was spreading. Leiomyosarcoma grows from radiation treatments; it does not shrink. Kathy was told that there were no treatment options, only experimental therapies that could potentially slow the process. The doctor told Kathy that she had six to eight weeks to begin that process. Here we are at the six-week mark. Leiomyosarcoma has a five-year life expectancy. Kathy was diagnosed in 2020, two years ago.
"Hope 4 Cancer Treatment Centers" have a multitude of success stories. Patients who were given no options and no hope can now share their success stories with hope for others; they are living their success stories. Kathy has personally spoken with patients and family members of those success stories.
After reviewing her case with Hope 4 Cancer, Kathy was given a treatment plan estimated at $50,000; this includes treatment, food, lodging and additional therapies that build the immune system while targeting cancer. Hope 4 Cancer Treatment Center approaches the patient holistically and with non-toxic means to address the entire person as they battle cancer and heal. I am asking for your help to offer that hope, to extend Kathy the time and the opportunity to write her own success story in her battle to beat cancer. Thank you in advance for your support in providing hope and healing.
