Hello everybody, my name is Jesse Rogers. Hannah is my partner/ significant other, but most importantly my Best Friend going on 18 years. She is one of the most amazing, smart, beautiful, strong, Kind, and Incredible people that I’ve ever met. Over the last year that we have been together, I have seen her start to fade more and more because of so many health issues, and seeing someone that is normally so positive, healthy, and active be dragged down has been really heartbreaking.

She has been a loyal and dedicated employee of One Boulder Fitness going on 10 years now. She has been committed to helping people live their healthiest lives while unfortunately having to manage her own pain.

Outside of work, she is a devoted pet parent to 3 fur babies. This includes a shelter cat, as well as two reactive German Shepherds who she rescued and rehabilitated.

Hannah has been dealing with chronic and recurring illnesses for the better part of her life, but having a career in health and fitness helped her manage each one as they came up and return to normal functioning. This includes her first bout of Epstein Barr (chronic mono) in 2015, which lasted over a year, Celiac, PCOS, and ADHD. She is currently going on 4 years into her second bout of Epstein Barr. Over the last 6 months especially, her health has drastically declined. She has taken significant time off work to address her health issues, but instead of getting better, her symptoms have become debilitating. On top of symptoms that are directly linked to diagnosed conditions, she experiences a wide range of generalized symptoms that can’t be connected to anything in particular (including fevers, recurring infections, nausea, brain fog, hives, frequent falls, seizures and widespread pain), as well as symptoms of conditions that can result from long term Epstein Barr (Guillain-Barre Syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis).

With all these Symptoms piling up, the cost of managing them also increased significantly. All medications, supplements, and treatments total over $1000 per month, diagnostic testing to find the root cause of the various symptoms can cost up to another several thousand dollars, and there are still unpaid medical bills from doctor's visits and a hospitalization. Both of her dogs are in training as service dogs to help assist her, and there are costs associated with their care and training as well. With the significant time she has taken off work over the past 6 months and currently being on full medical leave, there is extreme financial strain on the household and we are falling behind on bills. Government assistance has been extremely slow to process, and disability has, at this point, been denied, despite debilitating symptoms and a hospitalization.
