Our brother Randy turned 55 years young in April. He is married to a beautiful and loving wife and father to an amazing and smart 11-year-old daughter. His wife and daughter are his life and give him purpose.
In late March 2019, Randy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Prognosis is, well, what stage 4 lung cancer is - not good. His first chemo treatment was on Good Friday and he suffers from its side effects. The plan is to continue high dose chemo every 3 weeks in an effort to shrink his tumors.
In the meantime, Randy has been unable to work laying fiber lines for companies throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond - work he's good at and loved doing. He was the primary supporter for his family. Without his income - and with medical bills and insurance deductibles and copays quickly mounting - his family suffers twofold: at seeing and experiencing their husband and father sick and fighting a daily battle for life; and worrying how to deal with financial pressures.
With this GoFundMe page, we are hoping to raise enough money to help Randy's family pay for daily living, to cover their mortgage for a few months, to pay for medical expenses for Randy, and to put a little aside for his daughter to go to college someday- a day he will probably, regretfully and painfully, never see.
