Sunday March 13th I had to take Jessica to the E.R because she was having a hard time catching her breath. We soon found out she had Pneumonia and an abscess in her lungs. They had to put her on oxygen and a ventilator to try to help her. The following day her lungs collapsed and she was put in the I.C.U at Robinson Memorial. That's when it took a turn for the worse.They then had to put in a chest tube to try to drain out the abscess. She was then sedated heavily. Because of the hole in her lung, the oxygen that they were pumping in was coming out of the hole and releasing into her body, causing her body to swell. She was life flighted to Akron City Hospital where she was paralyzed and put on life support. With talks of removing the lower lobe of the left lung. But with many prayers and well wishes she is getting better. The Doctors are telling us the abscess is becoming smaller and they are waiting to see how small it can get, to avoid removing the entire lower part of her lung. Surgery is still in the future to remove the rest of the abscess. After the surgery, she will have a very long road to recovery. During this time she is not recieving any short term disabilities or compensation through her work. And I am only recieving 60% of my paycheck every week. Any money raised will go towards care and the recovery for Jessica. I am very thankful for my family for stepping in and helping with my girls. I am having a very hard time with asking for help because that is not in my nature. I want to say a huge thank you to my Skylanes family that raised money for Jessica. Everything and anything raised will be much appreciated. I could not imagine going through this without all of your guys love and support!
