Hello, my name is Sarah and I need to get home. I live in the UK, but I'm from America originally. I've been living here with my 2 children and English husband since 2008. I've been trying to save money to visit my mom, who is not in good health, but I'm not going to be able to save enough to cover the cost of the flights in time.
This money will go to the cost of 3 tickets; for myself, my daughter- Molly age 4, and my son- Parker age 10. We won't have the need for much money while we are there, as we will be staying with family and friends.
It is important we make the trip this summer and not wait and save another year. This is for 2 reasons, #1. My mom's health is not good. She is going to be having surgery soon, and I want to be there for her. #2. My son will be starting High school next September (2016). This is important because he is autistic. Change is a big stressor for many autistic people, and my son is one of them. So, the summer of 2016 will be focused on this transition. It will be filled with lots of visit his new school and teachers. Any time away during this transition time would not be possible.
My dad passed away two months before my daughter was born. Because of a high risk pregnancy, I wasn't able to make it back to the US to see him when he was ill, or for the funeral. Because my son was so young when he saw him last, he has very few memories of him. I want both of my kids to have many happy memories with my mom. Please help me make this happen. No amount is too small, anything you can spare will help get us home!
