Hey, I am Coach Crawford. I am a certified elite trainer, personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. In an effort to give back to the community, I train and mentor young male athletes from Greenwood and other surrounding counties at no cost. Many of the young men that I mentor are from under priveleged areas and single parent homes where a college eduacation seems impossible. Through athletics many of the young men that I have mentored over the years have gone on to college and received their degree allowing them to become productive members of society.
I coordinate workouts several days a week at no cost for the young men that include both strength and endurance training specific to their sport. I also offer camps and extended workouts during school breaks and summer vacation. To participate in my program the young men arfe required to keep their grades up and stay out of trouble. I also have frequent interaction with their parents to ensure that they meet the requirements to participate.
I offer all of my time and services at no cost to the young men or their families. I greatly enjoy providing this service; however, it does not come without costs. Up to this point I have funded the program with my own personal resources. I feel that it is an investment in the future of the young men as well as our community.
Recently I was informed of an opportunity that the young men have to participate in some of the most elite football camps in the southeast. The camps that we have attended so far have cost from $90-$150 per child. I have been paying for all of the travel expenses including meals. I would like to ask you to sponsor one or more of the participants for this upcoming camp, however, any donation would be appreciated.
I am committed to the success of these young men both on and off of the field. For some of these young men this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase their athletic ability to college recruiters and scouts. I would hate for them to miss out on the opportunity to participate due to a lack of funding. I hope that you will consider giving back to the community by supporting this event.
