Paul was diagnosed with tonsil cancer in July 2025. He completed chemotherapy and radiation in October and recently had his three month PET scan, hoping for confirmation that the cancer was gone.

Unfortunately, the scan showed that the cancer is still present and has metastasized to his lungs. Paul has been told that it is incurable. He will be having a biopsy this month to determine whether he is a candidate for immunotherapy and possibly additional chemotherapy, which may help extend his life and improve its quality.

As they look ahead to the next chapter, Paul and Julie are preparing to explore every proven treatment available to help give Paul more time with his beautiful family. This journey may involve years of ongoing treatment, monitoring, and supportive care, and the costs are significant and ongoing.

This includes proven alternative approaches alongside naturopathic, holistic, and traditional medical care, much of which is out of pocket and not covered by our health care system.

Paul and Julie will need to cover the costs of additional PET and CT scans, ongoing bloodwork, supplements, vitamin infusions, integrative oncology care, specialized nutrition, travel for treatment, and other supportive therapies.

Since completing treatment, Paul has only been able to return to work for a few short weeks. Julie has been the sole income earner while also supporting Paul through every step of his care.

Anyone who knows Paul and Julie knows they are always the first to show up for others, even if it means driving hours out of their way.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help cover treatment costs now and give Paul access to as many care options as possible. Every contribution will help provide more time, more support, and more opportunities for treatment as they navigate the road ahead.
