Helping Mr. Shawn after Cancer Treatment and Hard Times

Shawn Guinn, affectionately known as Mr. Shawn, is recovering from radiation treatment for prostate cancer. Mr. Shawn isn’t feeling well and is unable to perform all of his responsibilities maintaining and operating the school, which he and his wife, Mrs. Cookie, founded nearly 40 years ago. In addition to the stress of cancer, Mr. Shawn and Mrs. Cookie are sadly facing the reality that tough times have financially impacted them and the amazing learning environment they have worked so hard to make available to the community. Dainty Center/Willow Wood School can use our help to continue to teach children and provide support to its “extended families.”
