Helping the Lower family

Hello everyone- thank you for taking the time to look at this page and read about our cause.
I made this page in hopes of raising some money and taking the financial burden off of my cousin and her family so that they can focus on getting her healthy and back at home. Amanda is a wife and a mother of 2. She lives in North Port, FL but is currently in Sarasota Memorial Hospital. I am going to copy and paste a Facebook status that her husband had posted earlier this morning to explain her condition:
**This is David Lower- Amanda wanted me to try to explain better because there is alot of confusion from so many updates and changes everyday. We came to the ER last Sunday for really bad head and neck pains and we were in and out of the ER with a different diagnosis through Tuesday. On Wednesday morning she called me at work in so much pain that we brought her back again and the decided to admit her and have a neurologist look at her. After blood tests, cat scans, MRIs, they ...finally went to do a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) where they found she had a massive build up of spinal fluid. The fluid tested with no problems and she has been diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri. So her body is acting like she has a brain tumor when it doesnt. She has had 2 more punctures since to be relieved of the pressure and they are trying to get the fluid and pain under control so we can see some specialist and figure where we go from here. Please pray that that the meds begin to work soon and we can go the easiest route from here. Thank you everyone who has already done some much for us and those of you who have offered us help, thought and prayers already.
I've gotten a phone call and update since that status was posted that they are going to do an eye surgery tomorrow evening to relieve the pressure from her optic nerve, the pressure has affected her vision to the point where she can only see shapes right now. They are hopeful with this surgery they can relieve the pressure and restore her normal vision. After they do both eyes they are planning to do a shunt to continue to drain fluid.
Amanda has NO health insurance, her husband has been off of work to take care of her and the children and bills have had to be set aside. Amanda will need to be on a very expensive medication for, most likely, the rest of her life. We ask that if you cannot make any type of donation that you please Pray for Gods healing.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
