You have cancer! No one wants to hear these words but for Anthony Burresch, this was his second time hearing those dreaded words and his second fight with cancer.
Anthony was holding down two jobs just to make ends meet. As a school bus driver and a part time Fed Ex employee, Anthony was making enough to cover the cost of the one bedroom apartment for him, his wife and their four daughters. As a result of Anthony’s current prolonged bout with cancer, he has lost his jobs and is struggling to provide for his family.
He underwent four rounds of chemotherapy that sometimes felt worse than the cancer itself. Anthony lost all of his hair and it hurt to even be touched gently by his wife or his daughters. This has been a very tough time in every way; physically, emotionally and financially. If it weren’t for the generosity of close friends and family and their strong faith, the Burresch family would not be making it.
After chemotherapy his blood test read normal and the doctor gave them the great news that he was in remission. They thought the worst was over but one month later, after CT scan screening, the doctor found a growth in his lymph node and a cyst above his pancreas. Anthony was sent to a specialist at USC where they determined that he had a very rare cancer that was undetectable in bloodwork so the only option was a third surgery.
We ask you to consider helping Anthony to provide for his family while he fights his way back to health. He and his family are confident that through their faith in God and with your love, Anthony will be well again and this rough patch will have served to make them stronger.
