Hello...I am sad to say I have created this GoFundMe for my sweet puppy, Kai. In the last week, he had to undergo two emergency surgeries and has been hospitalized since Thursday, April 1 racking up a medical bill exceeding $8,500. Fortunately, we believe Kai will fully heal and live a happy life, although the cost of these surgeries is a great challenge for Kai's family. Last week, I found Kai vomiting/dry heaving and at a loss of breath. After calling multiple vets who would not take him because they were fully booked, I finally found a vet who could fortunately see him. The x-rays showed foreign material in the small intestine and the doctors were hopeful he could pass it on his own. Unfortunately, he was unable to. During the exploratory abdominal surgery there were complications and the doctors had to perform a resection and anastomosis. My goal is to raise $4,000 to help me with the cost of saving Kai's life. Kai is only 7.5 months old and I have had Kai just shy of 4.5 months. Raising this dog has been the highlight of my life. He has so much more life to live and I have so much love to give him!
