Help us build a new classroom in Arusha, Tanzania

Our project :

It is very common in Tanzania and especially in the Arusha area to see children in the streets during school hours. Indeed a lot of children don't go to school, even primary school, for several reasons. One of them is that they have to work to support their family, this is very common in the different tribes of Tanzania, mostly located in the countryside. The other main reason is the lack of financial resources of a lot of families that can't afford the costs of scholarship.

Our primary mission was to create a school that can welcome vulnerable children whose family can't afford the costs of education. We did it by building the new KYOSEI SCHOOL, located in a more remote area, now welcoming children from all walks of life, either they can afford going to a school or not. Indeed, we provide free education for children from poor families and for orphans.
But our mission is far from being accomplished. Indeed, we want to expand the school by building a new classroom in order to increase the number of pupils attending the school. Keep in mind that more children going to the new school means less kids in the streets, missing the most important part of their education.

The other main benefit from building a new classroom is creation of a new class which means we can divide the group of children into two groups of different level so each group can learn knowledge according to their level of education. Indeed, providing an adapted level of training according to their performance will allow them to learn faster and give them a better preparation for their future.
In 2019 the Kyosei Training Center organization managed to build two classrooms in the suburbs of Arusha to be able to reach more children. Our first project is to give the children the opportunity to develop their skills, creativity and imagination by building a playground on the schoolyard. In addition we want to increase the number of vulnerable children attending the school by building a new classroom.

At the Kyosei Foundation, we allow local staff and international volunteers to help us teach our vulnerable children and orphans. We provide pre-elementary education to underprivileged children from 3 to 6 years old located in Arusha. Here in Tanzania, most Primary schools start at the age of 7 years old. However, the students need to learn basic English and skills to help them excel. With your help, we can help give our youth the help that they need.

This program is most suitable for individuals who cannot look after their small children during the day, orphans and kids from lower income families.
We understand the problems of underprivileged children is that it will lead to street children, poverty and poor performance, lack of early preparatory education, also death of HIV/AIDS affected parents, polygamy, unexpected pregnancy, absence of love and security in the family, sexually exploited girls, orphans and vulnerable kids who are left without care and support. Therefore we have a desire to give them a bright future with support and protection in our center by providing care and preparatory classes while their parents or guardians are missed or at work.
The primary objective of our project is to create our own sustainable primary school in Arusha. We want to provide disadvantaged children to acquire the core foundational skills so they can excel in primary education, and then in their adult life. We aim to build life skills, develop their voices, and build their confidence so they can express themselves freely.
As you can see their smile don't lie : they are happy to attend school, meet friends, play and learn as much as they can. Moreover since a lot of them are from the Masaai tribe, it means that before being given the chance to go to school they may have had to keep the family goat or cow herd all day long.
THE NEW CLASSROOM BENEFITS :

_To enable more and more orphans and underprivileged children attain a good future by helping them discover and develop their talents.

_To equip orphans and underprivileged children with skills that will help them start up income generating activities and job opportunities.

_To provide them a level of education matching their learning capacity.
