Hey guys and gals, Josiah Dearinger here. I hope and pray all is well in your lives. On April 23rd, I'll be bound for Bologna, Italy on a mission trip. Christ Community Church (C3) in West Houston is sending a small team to serve the community there. We will be back the 30th.
C3 is partnered with another church in Bologna, Nouva Vita. We will be working alongside them this trip, specifically; to reach out to the people in Bologna. In all of Italy, less than 5% of the people profess to having a relationship with Jesus, so as you can imagine, Bologna is in great need of hearing the message of the Gospel.
Bologna is influenced heavily by Communist ways of thinking. Consequently, the city, its schools, etc., are run much as if they were under direct Communist control. The church does not have the support of city administrators, although they have recently caught their attention with the work they are doing in Bologna. There is a large presence of college students and young adults there and many fall into prostitution.
The funds I'm hoping to acquire will largely help cover travel expenses. Payment must be made in full by April 17th. I have a great desire to serve alongside the C3 team and to see glory be brought to God through this trip. Any contributions, large or small, would be greatly appreciated and would be a significant help towards me reaching my goal.
