Ashley Holloway flew with her husband, Mike, to L. A. yesterday on Easter Sunday. She was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma on 12/10/14, a benign tumor of her balance nerve in her brain which effects affects 1 in 100,000 people. She will have a Tran Labyrinthine Craniotomy tomorrow, April 7, 2015 at USC and will be in ICU for 3 days and another 15 days recovering in and out of the hospital. During this time she will need to stay most of the time in L.A. The loss of hearing in the right ear we hope and pray will be the only bad result of the operation. While this is a huge loss, she will conquer this too with her usual grace and energy.
All of you know her as a wonderful wife and mother and as an amazing teacher and friend. She has been a pillar of strength while Mike served tours during the Iraq War. She is a positive, kind, lovely woman who gives so much to her family, friends and community.
While grateful that she is receiving the best care and that her insurance is covering the surgery, their expenses will be many. Any amount that her friends and family can contribute will help so much and be so very appreciated. Please continue to send her your prayers.
