We are sharing this story with heavy hearts, as our family’s world has been turned upside down. My cousin, Ashley Camel, was recently diagnosed with late-stage Myxoid Liposarcoma (MLS), a rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer. She’s only 27 years old, and instead of planning her future, she’s now preparing for months of grueling chemotherapy and radiation, followed by a major surgery to remove her tumor.
If you know Ashley, you know that she’s the light in every room — funny, full of life, and always making everyone laugh even when she’s the one struggling. It’s impossible to imagine that someone so loving, caring and vibrant is going through something so unfair. She is a beloved daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and devoted girlfriend.
Now, she is facing the fight of her life. The treatment plan will be incredibly demanding, and the financial burden of medical bills, hospital stays, and living expenses is overwhelming. She has a big, loving family that’s doing everything we can to be there for her, but the reality is that the costs of her care are staggering. She won’t be able to work during treatment, and the medical bills are already piling up faster than anyone could prepare for.
We’re raising funds to help cover her medical bills, treatments, surgery, and basic living expenses while she focuses on what truly matters — staying strong and fighting for her life. Every dollar will go directly to helping her through this fight, giving her the chance to focus on healing instead of worrying about finances.
If you can donate, please know that no amount is too small. And if you can’t, please share this page and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. The love and encouragement from this community mean more than words can say.
Thank you for standing beside her and helping her face this unimaginable challenge with hope and courage. Together, we can make sure she never has to walk this journey alone.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,
Ashley’s Family
