Hello!
My name is Rachel. My husband Mike and I were recently kicked out of our Chicago home in the middle of the school semester. We are currently living in a non-ideal situation with our parents. We are incredibly lucky that they have given us and our two dogs a roof over our heads, but it is nearly impossible to find reliable work at the moment due to COVID-19 and related transportation issues.
In order to get back on our feet and move to a location with more job opportunities, we need to raise our credit scores to rent an apartment. Currently we owe money to:
1. Our old apartment (as we were lucky enough to reach a deal as opposed to getting evicted) in the amount of approximately $2,000.
2. Medical bills (for mental health related care, as well as a visit to the emergency room) in the amount of approximately $1,000.
The money raised from this gofundme would greatly help us turn our lives around so we can continue with our education and be reliable employees to future employers.
