Romeo was born with a rare and complex heart condition that required his first open-heart surgery at just three days old. The first years of his life were spent in Great Ormond Street Hospital, where he underwent multiple major surgeries — including a heart bypass, the fitting of a cardiac shunt, and a pacemaker.

From the very beginning, doctors warned that Romeo’s chances of survival were slim, and his family were told to prepare for the worst. But Romeo had other plans. Against all odds, he has shown incredible strength, courage, and determination — proving to everyone that he truly is a little superhero.

Despite everything he’s been through, Romeo is a happy, fun-loving little boy. He adores animals, treasures his teddies and toys, and lights up when he’s surrounded by his family, friends, and his beloved football team. His joy and laughter are contagious — he never gives up, no matter how unwell he feels.

Recently, Romeo’s doctors delivered the devastating news that no parent should ever have to hear. Due to the severity of his condition, it’s no longer possible for him to undergo further surgery, as he would not survive an anaesthetic. They advised his family to make the next 12 months of his life extra special.

Romeo’s mum has always made every day magical for him — but now, with your help, we want to make his remaining time truly unforgettable. One of Romeo’s biggest wishes is to see real dolphins swimming in the ocean, and there are so many other wonderful sights and experiences we’d love to help him enjoy.
