My brother has been through so much. He moved to the Florida Keys to fulfill a lifelong dream. In a little over two months time, after arriving in Florida, he was diagnosed with Stage II rectal cancer. He quickly went under the care of Cleveland Clinic, Weston, FL. After eight months of chemo and radiation therapy the doctors had assumed that the cancer was gone.
On a second follow up MRI it was discovered that the cancer was not gone. In February of 2023 he had to undergo surgery to remove his rectum, which came with the placement of an ileostomy. After three months of healing he then had to get another surgery to reverse the ostomy. It has been a struggle for him but you wouldn’t recognize it.
He obtained great health insurance, however, the lost time of surgery and recovery has put him in dire straights financially.
He now needs to have another surgery due to a hernia that was caused by the failure of his abdomenal wall ftom the ostomy. He’s going to need help with his rent and monthly bills because he can’t afford to miss another huge block of time off work.
If you could find it in your heart to contribute to his care and possibly share this I would greatly appreciate it.
He has always been there when we need him and if anyone deserves a hand up it’s my brother.
Thank you for your time, love, Deb and Jo
