Brian (Mezz) Mezzapelle Support
Donation protected
This fund is for our fellow brother. A respected CT Fire Fighter, EMT, local Little League Coach, and Friend.
On Friday, November 06th at approximately 11:30pm Brian Mezzapelle, affectionately know as "Mezz", was involved in a serious crash on Rte 8. His vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was effectively thrown across the highway and into the center concrete divider, spinning and crashing a second time, and thrown back across into the wire rope guardrail before his vehicle came to rest. Bryan suffered signifcant facial trauma and was taken on a priority to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was admitted and underwent surgery this week.
Mezz has been unable to work. He is a paid EMT, and a Volunteer Fire Fighter and like most of us, relies on his health and mobility to work and provide income. He has mounting hospital bills as well as other of life's expenses, and several of his possessions were destroyed in the crash.
Brian has always exemplified giving back to the community through his volunteering as a Little League Coach in town, a Cub Scout Leader, and with his involvement in the Fire Department .
I simply asking you to decide with your heart if you can donate to a fellow brother.
Far too often we see these GoFundMe posts for someone who is not around to see the outpouring of support that our profession provides in times of need; Let's show Brian how we take care of our own, and come together for each other. Imagine the burden lifted with not having to worry about how you will pay your bills as you recover.
Please share this with anyone and everyone who puts on the uniform, in FB groups and forums where we stand by each other, and with the community who appreciates our bond and mission.
Thanks for the time everyone.
