Help us help Gus :(
Donation protected
Hi. As most of you know, we have been trying to get this boy healthy for months. LOTS of vet trips to date. Gus has spent months of puppyhood being sick. Today we took him to a vet in Victoria and found he is most likely sepsis, due to a foreign object that was probably from the stick over Easter and never properly resolved. This weekend is costing $6-7000 for tests and care, and if all is as suspected, he is scheduled for surgery Monday, BUT that emergency surgery is nearly $20000 and they require $16000 up front. We are still processing how we got here, but at the end of they day, Gus is just a young puppy with a long life ahead of him, hopefully. We just can't lose him yet. If, of course something changes in that diagnosis and the surgery doesn't go ahead we will refund anyone who has donated. We are beyond grateful to anyone who is able to help and are sad to be asking this of you :( We just don't have access to this large amount. Gus has changed our lives immensely, from seeing a cardboard sign with puppies written in sharpie coming in our lives at the perfect time we are at a major loss on what to do, turning to you all reading this for help. Please donate if you can, and share this link.
PS: We do have documentation of his treatment plan if anyone wants to see.
