Robert Urban--goodbye colitis

Donation protected
Goodbye ulcerative colitis...we hate your guts (pun intended)!

In October 2014 Robert Urban (husband, father, son, brother, grandson, friend) started experiencing severe digestive issues.  After several trips to the ER and stays in the hospital he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.

November/December were the scariest months...he tried humira with high hopes but after one last trip to the ER on December 2nd, he was scheduled for surgery to remove his lower intestine Dec 6th.  He was discharged December 17th (just in time for Christmas!). Since then, life has started to look up.  His second  surgery took place on March 2, connecting his upper intestine to his rectum.  He has one final surgery which  will eliminate his need for the ileostomy bag coming up in May.  Rob has been a trooper, a fighter, this whole time.  He has grown from this situation in his relationship with Christ, as a husband, and as a father.  It's amazing what perspective one can gain from an acute time of uncertainty....and Rob, who has always been a solid man, has been an inspiration as he stays positive despite the pain and challenges.

Praise God for the gift of life and healing of his body.  Praise God Rob has awesome employers that have loved on his family and made it possible for him to go back to work quickly and in a capacity that allows for more healing (Pfeiffer collision...woot woot!).  Praise God for his loving wife and adorable daughter who keep him focused in the tougher moments.  And thank you friends for continuing to pray and give through this process.

Let the last hurdle for Rob and Kelly be this final surgery.  Please join us in giving to cover the medical expenses from 2015.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 by June 20th....on that day we will have a final celebration of health, love, friends and family in honor of Rob's recovery and your generosity....join us at the Buckley cottage on Sand Lake for food drinks, fun and sun.

Rob is the kind of person we all want in our time of need.  He is a friend to all.  He's likely done work on your car, in your house, or kept you company a time or two....because he loves to honor his loved ones.  It's our honor to be there for him now.  Thanks in advance for joining our party to celebrate Rob and his recovery from medical hurdles and bills of 2015.
