Help the Rouse Family

My name is Madeline I am organizing this Go fund me on behalf of my long time family friends the Rouse Family. Please take a moment to read, and share or donate if you can help.

Please if you can, help Raychel, Tex, Kascade, Calypso, and Iris.
Kascade was born 3/19/21, just over 6 weeks prematurely. After going through 46 days in the NICU, completed 5 of 6 scheduled surgeries, and countless Doctor visits, this sweet boy has always had a smile on his face and a drive to thrive to his best capabilities. Kascade has been a fighter since day one. He has endured what seems, endless medical procedures but always with a bright spirit and his family by his side. Both Raychel and Tex are self employed and valued members of the Eugene Community, they need our help.

On 10/28/22 A mother's intuition was correct and Raychel had taken Kascade to a follow up doctor appointment for possible RSV. He had started to go into respiratory distress shortly after arriving, and was taken via ambulance to Riverbend for treatment. After 2 short days, he had started to develop bacterial pneumonia. He was labeled as a critical case and again had to be medically transported to the PICU of Dornbecher Children's hospital in Portland in the early hours of that Sunday morning. Within the first 2 week stay, he was put on a ventilator for a few days. He had met his ERT scores (exebated readiness trials) but only lasted 27 hrs while on a c-pap machine before his little body gave out and couldn't muster up any more energy to continue functioning. Thankful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses, they were able to save him and stabilize him back on the ventilator. Raychel has not left his side during his hospitalizations. He still has weeks to go to make a full recovery since it takes him longer to recover from anything bronchial.

We are asking the community to stand together with the Rouse/Durbin Family. Raychel has been out of work for what will be coming up on 3 weeks and Tex has been managing his best between work, children's school schedule, and home life on his own. But with work hours affected and less income coming in, they will need help with upcoming bills, mortgage, and other necessities.
We pray for a full recovery for Kascade and positive energy for the family. Thank you.
