My name is Santiago Ramirez, and I started this fund for my cousin Sergio (sitting to the left in the picture), who just turned 18 years old, and lives in Bogotá, Colombia. Around this time last year, Sergio was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a cancer common in children and young adults that develops in the bones. Within the past year, he has  endured intense chemo treatment, was forced to undergo a difficult surgery on his knee, and restricted himself about going out of the house with the dangers of possibly contracting Covid-19. We are now seeking out your generosity so that Sergio may continue to be treated and overcome his cancer, and to financially relieve his family throughout this difficult time. Mi nombre es Santiago Ramírez, y comencé este fondo para mi primo Sergio (sentado a la izquierda en la foto), quien acaba de cumplir 18 años y vive en Bogotá, Colombia. Alrededor de esta época el año pasado, a Sergio le diagnosticaron osteosarcoma, un cáncer común en niños y adultos jóvenes que se desarrolla en los huesos. Durante el último año, ha sufrido un intenso tratamiento de quimioterapia, se vio obligado a someterse a una cirugía difícil en la rodilla y se restringió a sí mismo para salir de casa con los peligros de contraer Covid-19. Ahora buscamos su generosidad para que Sergio pueda seguir recibiendo tratamiento y superar su cáncer, y para aliviar económicamente a su familia durante este momento difícil.
