Support Ash's Surgery and Recovery

Ash Dodson (AKA Bean, Ashwood, Coceana, Eena, Beana Bo Beana Weena, Señor Frijoles, Musher Mannie, Wormy, Dootie, Mookalina, among many other names not mentioned) is sadly not a stranger to surgery life, and though he may not have pet insurance, we'll tell you what he does have - and that's grit.

Ash gets his kind, calm, loving personality right from the mother that birthed him - Erin Mckenzie Dodson of Spanish River High. Anyone who knows Erin knows that Ash is an extension of her whole being.

We can personally say after living with Erin and Ash for two years that no one loves an animal more than Erin loves Ash, and we can't imagine there's a dog on earth who loves his mom more.

It's hard to put Bean into words, he is a gentle, sweet, boy. He's hilarious and tolerant, so goofy, and so perfect. He can fit not two, or three, but four whole toys in his mouf when he comes to greet you at the door. He shape-shifts into a 10 week old puppy at the sight of peanut butter ("Beana butter"). He is also the best-worst protector of all time, and there's nothing that can get that dog going like a ball in an open field - which also happens to be his biggest crux. Can't say that meniscus & CCL didn't go out doing what it loved! The only way to describe Ash is that he's the best, and you don't truly get it until you meet him, but he's the greatest dog on earth.

His mother also happens to be one of the greatest humans we know. She has taught us both how to be better nurses, better friends, and more than anything, what it takes to be a good dog mom. She's thoughtful, humble, the most fun, and cares so hard for the people in her life. Her and Ash light up our house in more ways than we can put into words.

Ash is about to be on bedrest requiring full-time supervision for the next couple of weeks, but he's so strong and so brave, and we know he's going to be hitting that McCabe Park dog field with the biggest smile on his face in just a few short months.

We made this to help Er pay for surgery, because as we said before, this sadly isn't his first time going under the knife. We know how much Erin would appreciate any donations to help.
