Medical expenses for Lucas

Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to share an important update about our son, Lucas, and to ask for your support during this challenging time.

Lucas was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a serious condition that has required multiple heart surgeries. The Fontan procedure, his third and final surgery, is crucial to improving his blood flow and allowing him to grow into adulthood with a better quality of life. This surgery will help manage his condition by redirecting blood flow from his body to his lungs, reducing the workload on his single functioning ventricle.

Lucas's procedure is tentatively scheduled for 1-3 weeks after his upcoming cardiac catheterization, CT scan, and echocardiogram on August 1st. This assessment will help the surgeons plan the surgery and ensure that all residual infection is cleared. We are optimistic about the outcome, but the road ahead involves careful preparation and potential delays to ensure Lucas's health and well-being.

Lucas has a bright spirit and a love for learning, especially enjoying reading, puzzles, dinosaurs, and Paw Patrol.

Our family is in need of financial support to cover medical expenses and other associated costs. I have exhausted my unemployment benefits, and while Q is working full time, we are facing financial challenges. Any contribution you can make would be immensely helpful and deeply appreciated.
