Help the Hubbard's

Shawn and his family are good friends and are unfortunately going through a difficult time. I started this GoFundMe to relieve the stress of life as much as possible for Shawn and Alison. When you are going through something so emotionally exhausting as they are, who wants to be worrying about the financial stress of it as well?

Mental health is a sensitive topic, so rather than me trying to explain, the following words are from Alison:

“Shawn has been suffering from bipolar disorder for years, trying every medication under the sun, attempting to come out from the black cloud that has consumed him. The latest, unfortunately, has caused him to become very sick. If you’ve ever heard that the drug lithium can be dangerous, it’s for good reason. He is currently in the hospital for lithium toxicity- not due to an overdose but an unusual combination of drugs, dehydration, and bad timing. He has gone through dialysis and is now recovering, gaining the strength again to walk, talk, and eat on his own.

He has not been able to work for over a year, putting a great financial strain on our family, and now we have the added mountain of medical bills ahead of us. We sincerely appreciate all the support from friends and family this far, knowing that Shawn has kept most of this private. I know so many of you care about him, and we genuinely appreciate the love.
