PLEASE READ THIS AND TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!!
I Know that I am always joking, but, now I am serious and I need your help.
For months people have been asking what's wrong with me and I've been very evasive. I don't like to do this and it goes against my usual request for privacy but I Need Your Help.
So here is the full story
After Hurricane Irma I got sick. The illness progressed very aggressively to where by November I couldn't get out of bed or a chair without assistance.
I finally went to Boston to seek medical care. The doctor immediately sent me to the Emergency and I was admitted. I spent a month in the hospital getting care and lots of procedures. I was told that had I waited any longer I would have died. All my internal organs were failing. I was told that I would need a new liver.
My doctors told me that I needed to move to Boston because I was going to need constant care.
I moved there in February. During the move I managed to tear 4 tendons in my shoulder. I am in need of shoulder replacement surgery.
I have been undergoing care and greuling procedures.
On April 6, I began vomiting blood and collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital. Again, I was told that had I waited any longer I would be dead.
I spent 4 days in the ICU undergoing procedures to stop the internal bleeding.
I have been unable to work since October. My doctor says that I may never be able to work again.
I need a shoulder replacement and an organ transplant.
My life consists of going from home to one of the specialists for consults and procedures then back home.
I have a mountain of debt that is growing by the day.
Anyone who knows me knows of my generosity whether donating my time as a performer for charities and fundraisers, donating trolleys to any charity or school group, giving away cars etc.
Now, I need that karma to pay me back. I need your help.
That's the gritty truth of it.
Without the amazing support of my family, I couldn’t have made it this far. They are New Englanders like me and we keep our affairs private so I thank them not for just taking care of me, but for respecting my privacy until I chose to make things public.
