Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I’m asking for help for my girl, Roxy.

Roxy is my 9-year-old German Shepherd and has been my constant companion, comfort, and protector. Recently, she was diagnosed with a malignant anal gland tumor, and we are now facing urgent medical decisions, testing, and possible surgery.

The next steps include advanced imaging, bloodwork, and potentially surgery to determine whether the cancer has spread and what treatment options are available. The costs are adding up quickly, and I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone.

Roxy is otherwise healthy and full of love, and her veterinary team believes there is still a chance to improve her quality of life with treatment. Every donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward her medical care.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this means just as much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us during this incredibly difficult time.

This is a breakdown of everything:
Diagnostics already estimated: $659
• Surgery (anal gland mass removal): $2,000–$3,500 (varies a lot)
• Anesthesia, meds, pathology, follow-ups: $500–$1,000
• Fundraising platforms take a small processing fee
Update for surgery: update on Roxy: this is the voice message her vet gave me today…..it’s a lot to take in and we can’t do this alone so please again spread the word and share so we can get Roxy happy and healthy with us again♥️ Ik my baby still has a lot of life left in her and love to give everyone.

Hey Linsey, it's Dr. Horse. Um, I am calling with 2 pieces of information. So the 1st is the lab is having a weather related delay, so I don't have lab results back yet, um but I'll call you when I do. The 2nd thing is, I did call over to the board certified surgeon that I like, um, uh, he located in Glendale, um, and got a quote from them about how much the surgery would be, and what the surgery would entail. So he, um, seemed pretty confident about the procedure. It is extensive though, um, she would need an epidural, and she'd need to stay overnight. Um, and the quote he gave me was around $5500. So, um, that's a lot. I knew it would be a lot a little more than I thought. But that was the quote I got, um, we could look into having a different vet do it, um, someone who's just a regular vet within the outcome might not be as good, because it is a little bit of a tricky, delicate procedure. So I wanted to give you that information. Um I'll call you as soon as I have lab results um and let you know. Uh what's going on and if you have any questions about the surgeon, we can talk then, okay, thanks, bye.

moving forward I scheduled for Roxy to have a consult with the surgeon before planning surgery February 5th as I guess he doesn’t schedule surgery until after seeing the dog. Ik this is all heavy on Roxy and I but also those around who love and adore Roxy so much, so please continue to spread the word/donate/share and most of all keep the prayers Roxy’s way. Thank you truly
