Support Eugene’s Road to Recovery

On May 6th, 2024, Eugene “Trey” Giles III was riding home with two members of the Chi Alpha Campus Ministry when their car was struck by another vehicle.

Eugene sustained severe injuries and has a long road ahead of him in his recovery. He has undergone multiple surgeries since the accident and was initially placed in the ICU (skull fracture, scapula fracture, broken pelvis, dislocated hip, and rib fractures). Once he is cleared he will move to rehab facility that will be able to provide him with the best support for recovery.

The Chi Alpha minister that Eugene adored as his mentor and friend who was driving tragically had her life taken in the accident.

Eugene (Trey) Giles III is from Louisville, Kentucky and a Junior with a 3.66 GPA at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. He is a member of the Virginia Union Cross Country Team and active in the Richmond area in multiple groups including the Chi Alpha Ministry at VCU.
