In October of this year, after weeks of feeling exhausted more than usual, I went to the Doctor and after many, many tests I got some bad news, Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  I am battling this disease with all my strength and feel very positive I will come through even better than ever. Just finished first round of chemotherapy and no problem I'm going strong.  I am in one of the best places to treat this cancer, UCSD Medical Center, and the support from family and friends has been great. The doctors will not allow me to return to work for at least six more months and I am building up expenses though my insurance will cover some I can still use help.
