Ruby the Rescue Dog needs your help

Hello. My name is Lyn. I'm coming to you to ask for your help to save Ruby the Rescue dog. Ruby came into our lives 3 years ago. I rescued her from death row at a high kill shelter. She instantly bonded with my then 7 year old son Jack. The first thing she did when I brought her home, was run into my son's room amd jump on his bed, as if she had lived there her entire life. They were meant to be together. Five months later, I lost my job. It was not good news. Four months later, we got the tragic news that Jack's father had a heart attack and passed away. Ruby was there for both of us. Jack and Ruby became even closer. A few months after that, I noticed a problem she was developing with her nose. She started having massive nosebleeds. After many vet visits, she was diagnosed with an auto immune disease. She required medication and monitoring, I put her on a raw food diet and took her for regular acupuncture visits. The cost has been significant, but not getting treatment for this special dog  was not an option. After many months, she has started showing improvement. Fast forward to March 30th, 2015. Ruby managed to get out of the yard. My son accidentally left the back gate open. Sadly she went after someone's dog. The dog got bit, as well as the guy who tried to get his dog out of the way. It was very sad and I was devastated. It was a very unfortunate accident. On April 1st, animal control came and I had to surrender the dog. She is in quarantine for 10 days, then they will schedule a hearing to determine her fate. I take full responsability and am deeply remorseful. I also am in fear of loosing this sweet dog who made a mistake. It wasn't her fault. I need help to pay the impound fees, fines, medical care and I may need to get a lawyer to help me fight to bring her home. This incarceration is also causing her health to deteriorate. I am not sure she is getting the kind of care in the shelter she requires, she will need medical care the rest of her life. She turns 4 on April 22nd. PLEASE help me give this dog another chance and reunite her with her little boy and the rest of our family (which includes a rescued puppy and 2 rescued, elderly cats. ) We all love her dearly. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and my son thanks you. We lost our beloved  6 year old German Shepherd to cancer,  in September. Jack has had so much loss in his young life.
