Persephone was attacked on our property 2 weeks ago by a large dog. We used all our savings keeping her alive as her chest was crushed. She has been healing from this injury. Unfortunately a hernia resulting from the attack has worsened and now requires immediate surgery to save her life, and we don't have anymore to spend.
Persephone has been my sweet companion through all my cancer treatments and surgeries, often laying on my stitches (ouch!) trying to heal me up. I would love to return the favor. It's an expensive procedure, but a lot of little bits might get us there.
Should any amount donated be in excess of our needs we will pay it forward to the Veterinary Hospital for some other pet lover who is having trouble saving a loved companion's life.
