Support Lisa's Fight to Keep Her Home

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am raising money to save my home. I have lived in my home for 23 years. I was blessed to have this home from my father. This was the first house he purchased in the 1970’s. In the mid 2000’s, a few years after my mom passed away, my dad met his current wife, a lovely and charitable woman. This past July, my father passed away. His wife, Fely, has mild dementia. Although her mind is not gone completely, she is vulnerable and easily swayed. Together they had a trust. In that trust, the home that I live in is to be gifted to me once they both pass. The home they lived in, which my dad moved to in 1979, was to be gifted to his grandchildren. Fely has no children or grandchildren. The property that she brought into the relationship is to be gifted to her siblings. Once my father became ill, Fely’s siblings started talking about selling his properties before he was even dead. And now, they have taken over the trust, of which I am supposed to be one of the trustees, while claiming she is still of sound mind and is controlling it. They have been filling her head with horrible lies about me and my family, making her believe we are trying to steal her things. The reality is all I want is for the trust to remain as it is, the way they wanted it. They moved her to a care facility, while at the same time saying she is still capable of making the decisions. Before my dad passed, my daughter and I were the ones helping to take care of them. Shopping, cleaning, etc. We were there several days a week helping them with whatever needs they had at the moment. We had a great relationship with her, and she was the only grandmother figure my kids had. We loved each other. After my father passed we were blocked from speaking to her or seeing her. They did not even let her go to her own husband’s funeral. A man she was married to for nearly 20 years. Today I received a 60 day notice to vacate my home. I had retained an attorney about a month ago, when I realized what they were doing, to try to save the trust from them. In that short amount of time I have already burned through nearly $5,000 in legal fees. I have nowhere to go if I lose this home. This is where I raised my children and the home my father wanted me to have. I am asking, begging, for help to save my home. I have never wanted to beg for money or ask for help before. I am at the point where this is my last option. Any amount you can spare will help. Even if you can only share this, it is much appreciated. Thank you.
